National Gallery Masterpieces - A Journey Through Time

£55 per person · 2.5 hours · max 6 guests

The National Gallery holds one of the greatest collections of European painting in the world and every one of its masterpieces speaks a language of symbols, stories and choices. On this intimate small-group tour, I will show you how to read it.

Over two and a half hours we move from the Italian Renaissance to the birth of modern painting: the elegance of Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo Da Vinci and Raphael, the drama of Caravaggio, the colour of Titian, the luminous landscapes of Turner, and the fleeting light of Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh and Cézanne.

Led by a London Blue Badge Tourist Guide and PhD art historian, with a maximum of six guests, there is space to ask questions, look closely, and linger where the group’s curiosity takes us. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a lifelong art lover, you will leave seeing paintings differently.
